A Wash KIT to 94 households.

The USAID-funded box contains a 10-litre collapsible water container, cotton cloth, a child’s potty, soap, a torch, laundry detergent, a whistle a 14-liter bucket with lid and female sanitary products that households can use in response to drought.  This initiative is a great example of a partnership between UNICEF and ChildFund to support the Kiribati Government in drought response for the community.

ChildFund piloted distribution of USAID-funded water, sanitation, hygiene, and Dignity boxes to 94 households at the site. The distribution team were so touched and moved by words of appreciation from households while the team explained what was inside the box, and what they are used for.
