ChildFund Kiribati wants Youth in Kiribati to THRIVE. You can read about our programs and some of our stories below.

Building Blocks: Young people can thrive when they have at least a basic understanding of reading, writing and maths. ChildFund Kiribati runs a Building Blocks program to help out-of-school youth to build skills in these areas, so they can continue into the formal education system and have a brighter future. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 12pm @ ChildFund Kiribati.

Life Skills programme: Throughout the year we run short courses to help youth learn skills that will help them in daily life. These include: weaving, fishing net making and sewing @ChildFund Kiribati.

Bridging Programme: Through our partnership with Kiribati Institute of Technology (KIT), we implement our Bridging Program, giving young people the technical skills required to move onto higher education programs offered by KIT. Held Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 4pm for one year @KIT.

Basic Business course: ChildFund’s ongoing program in partnership with KIT for young people aged 15 to 30 who have completed Forms 5-7. Youths will be trained in basic office skills including registration, marketing, filing, petty cash @ KIT.
